WasteExpo – Getting back to business
Greg Pabich – Director of Business Development
Last month, North America’s largest solid waste, recycling and organics industry event was back to business in Las Vegas. WasteExpo represents all segments of the industry, this was our kind of show with more than 500 exhibitors showcasing the latest equipment and technology, 40 conference sessions and workshops led by industry experts, reconnecting with many partners, and establishing new opportunities.
The lower attendance and smaller footprint of the expo was no surprise. Knowing many of the dealers at this show for a long time, it felt more like a reunion. Concerned about 16 months of rust being apart from face-to-face opportunities, the team made major connections that certainly liked what we had to offer.
Discussions on the floor revolved around the backlog and supply chain issues, creating extreme stress and long lead times for new equipment. Bottom line, the industry itself is strong following the pandemic and is taking strides in sustainability, smarter technology, and creating safer work environments.
Work hard and have fun. With the elevated 100-degree heat, our team embraced the Tesla all-electric, zero-emission, underground transportation system provided – LVCC Loop. And interactions continued after the show on the High Roller, optimizing the networking event from 550 feet in the air.
