Show Highlights Across the States
Over the past two months, we immersed ourselves in a whirlwind of shows and conferences spanning diverse industries from agriculture to construction to environmental. Our mission was not merely professional but extended beyond the confines of convention halls with the opportunity to visit with partners, customers, and friends where we engaged in discussions and exchanged ideas and insights with industry experts.
Despite cooler temperatures in most areas, unpredictable crowds were recorded, and attendees were anxious awaiting entrance. Generally, the shows exhibited continued strong demand for financing and positive industry outlooks. The shows confronted environmental sustainability head-on with new equipment innovations in carbon emissions reduction. The challenges of supply chains and labor shortages continue with advancements in automation and technology presented in all industries.
Travels started in Georgia attending the Southeast Regional Fruit and Vegetable Conference targeting commercial growers to see how things are being done differently with new products, packaging, equipment, and production. On the other side of the map in California, the Unified Wine & Grape Symposium was a platform for vintners and growers to gain information to remain competitive and equipment solutions in producing, filling, and packaging.
Westbound to Las Vegas set the stage for the AED Summit offering a vibrant display of innovative equipment, ranging from compact lifts to heavy haulers. And from cement to decorative, the World of Concrete which continues to grow as a hub for construction buyers and sellers. Sustainability, whether that be through equipment or concrete materials, continued as the focus in lowering carbon output with renewable electricity through solar.
Onward to Orlando, cattle ranchers across the nation converged at the NCBA Cattlecon. Producers seeked to improve management, extend seasons, and improve sustainability and production. Also in Florida, we explored the world of C&D, the annual conference shined a spotlight on sorting and recycling operations in the realm of mixed construction and demolition materials.
Dueling for the same calendar dates each year were National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville and World Ag Expo in Tulare. Both attracting big crowds that flocked to visit booths of machinery, ag transportation, and technology. Growers and producers were kids in a candy store where the latest products and technologies were showcased. Everything from aerial drones used in harvesting that allows growers to get a bird’s eye view to spot problems in the field, to new utility vehicles to get to sites in a hurry, to laser weeding systems using AI to control weeds for organic crops and eliminate chemicals.
Then, we headed back to Las Vegas attending the WPMA Expo. Among the bustling activity of the show floor, we exhibited alongside familiar faces from the petroleum association. Collaboration and networking were key in reinforcing our commitment to driving innovation within the industry.
We’re more than just lenders. As industries evolve and equipment gets smarter, we enjoy staying closely connected to the industries we serve to better deliver tailored solutions and financing tools to meet the needs of our customers and partners.
